Celebrated the start of my 18th week of pregnancy by vomiting in the car on my way to work. Thus, I have still not made it more than 10 days without becoming sick since early December. Hooray!
I’ve been thinking about the term pregnancy “symptom” and have decided to scrap it for pregnancy sign. Sounds more fun and less ill. Signs of pregnancy this week include the ongoing nausea, my rounding stomach, and occasional breast pain (sometimes severe).
Oh, and the fetus moving. It’s not constant, but from time to time, I feel bumps and wiggles in my lower abdomen that are certainly not gas and almost definitely the sign of something else (still hard to believe, clearly). Yesterday it tickled a little. I am super excited for the time when C is able to feel it on the outside, though I am always a little nostalgic for the passing of time (can you imagine what kind of mama I’ll be as the baby goes through each life stage at the speed of light?!).
We are currently working on our baby to-do list, including exploring day care, planning the closet we still need to build, and thinking about a short babymoon. You know, the important stuff
We already have family members talking about what they want to buy us or give us or how they want to help (woohoo!) and one of our closest friends has a whole room of stuff from her baby that she has volunteered to give us (SO MUCH STUFF)
I still have to set up our 20 week ultrasound. Surprisingly, I’m still not super pressed. I think feeling the movement and hearing the heartbeat last week has calmed some of my nerves and while I’m always cognizant that there are no guarantees, I am looking forward more and more each day to the magic of July (though I’m certainly not rushing the nowness of now).

yay for movement! And baby stuff! And boo to still being sick, but at least it sounds like it’s less frequent, so that’s got to be nice.
